Wait how are Fred and George responsible for Dumbledore's murder

OH MAN a couple of people have asked and I regret that tag cause it’s been over half a decade since I last read a Harry Potter book. So I have no idea if this is accurate (and even if it is, I’m not actually blaming them for the murder, I remember that Dumbledore planned his own death, yada yada yada. This is a joke.)

BUT I think my logic went: back in book 5, Fred & George shoved a Slytherin member of Umbridge’s Inquisitorial Squad (the wiki tells me this is “Graham Montague”) into the Vanishing Cabinet. Montague managed to escape and eventually told Malfoy about the Vanishing Cabinet. In book 6, Malfoy used Montague’s information to repair the Vanishing Cabinet and get Death Eaters into Hogwarts to provide the distraction necessary to set up Dumbledore’s murder. Hence Fred & George –> Dumbledore’s murder.

So yeah. This is what consumed 11-year old Charlie’s thoughts.
