I AM I LIBRARIAN!!!!!

Finally, after mentally health struggles, job losses, and 2.5 years in this program I graduated with my Masters in Library and Information Studies!!!

In honor of this, my Tumblr is becoming a temporary Booklr. I’ll be reblogging stuff, plus if you have any questions about what I’ve read, my opinions on popular books or characters, whatever, send them in!!!!

I’m so excited! And I want all students out there to know that there is a finish line and you can find a career field that is right for you, even if it takes more time and a different path than you expected.

🌸 What's something you're proud of for accomplishing in 2020? I graduated with a Master's degree in Library and Information Science!!! This has been my dream for years and I finally got there!!! Now I can become a Real Librarian!

🥂 What is the most exciting thing you did in 2020? I got engaged to the love of my life! His proposal could not have been more perfect and our families and friends could not be more supportive! We're so so excited to spend the rest of our lives together!

7. A picture with blue in it: I love DnD, and while I am not strong enough irl for heavy armor, I have the personality of a PalaBard!

8. A picture with green in it: This is the Christmas Moose. I think he's technically supposed to be a flying reindeer (with literal wings) but he is our ridiculous tree-topper and my favorite Christmas decoration.

📈 Pick up any new hobbies this year? Go back to any old ones? At the beginning of quarantine I got deeply invested in medieval fashion. I meant to learn how to embroider, but past a few stitches I didn't complete any projects. I did, however, read a lot about 15th century Dutch fabrics. I played Animal Crossing for the first time and got obsessed. Took lots of pics for my cat's Instagram. Oh, and I discovered the wonderful world of Discord where Whump Groups have helped me make so so many amazing friends. I could not have gotten through this year without you!

💥 Learn anything about *yourself*? I learned that I can be happy. Don't get me wrong; the world outside is still a dumpster fire. I just learned that I can actually feel content 90% of the time. For someone who has been struggling with multiple debilitating anxiety disorders for over 7 years, that is AMAZING! I'm far from neurotypical and I still have struggles ahead, but I know that I can come home to Thomas and Percy (my fiance and cat) at the end of the day and things will be okay.
