There’s something so familiar in his form of address… and yet for all the gaps Zoe has been filling in her memory, she cannot for the life of her recall ever having seen his face. A missing memory, perhaps. Or someone she has yet to meet. Zoe regards the man with careful curiosity.
“I hardly know who else I could be. But– I’m sorry– I don’t know who you are.”
The man’s face actually cracked with a smile. Oh she made him feel younger. So much younger. Glimpses of a frumpy man running around in a bow-tie. “-oh right.. I suppose you wouldn’t, I am... I was The Doctor,” his face only winced slightly at the use of his old name. “-new face.. you see,”
