Question (1) Question (2)
Question (3)
So, as you may have noticed, question 3 is a continuation of the question 2 previously explained here.
For this one we had to match the 4 responses provided to the sentences we had previously completed. 开始吧!
4. 你的作业写完了吗? Nǐ de zuòyè xiě wán le ma? The only grammar point that might pose a challenge in this sentence is "写完". "完" (wán) serves as a complement of result. When together with another verb, such as "写", "写" indicates that the action (to write - 写) has already been completed (完). The 了 particle here adds onto the idea that we had a change of state (from being incomplete to being completed). With that in mind, the sentence could be read as: "Have you finished writing down your homework?". So the best match surely is: "我已经交给老师了" (I have already handed it over to the teacher). 5. 今天的作业难吗? Jīntiān de zuòyè nán ma? I don't think there's much to this sentence besides general vocabulary: 难 (nán) means "hard / difficult", and the "的" (de), as you know it already, in this context indicates possession / connects two elements the same way the " 's " in English connects. The translation could be read as: "Is today's homework hard?". So the best match surely is "今天的作业不那么难" (Today's homework isn't hard at all.).
6. 他今天很忙吗? Tā jīntiān hěn máng ma? Again, for this sentence we don't have any relevant grammar point. In terms of vocabulary, we should remember that "忙" means "busy", so "很忙" could either mean "very busy" or, in this context, we have "很" as a link between the noun (他) and the adjective (忙), as just "他忙" doesn't work in Chinese. We can read this sentence as "Is he busy today?". So the best possible answer surely is: "是啊,他一吃完饭就开始工作了" (Yeah, as soon as he finished eating he began to work).
7. 你的朋友会说中文吗? Nǐ de péngyǒu huì shuō zhōngwén ma? In this sentence we have a relevant grammar point for Unit 1: the use of "会". This character has a set of different uses, but here it's being used with the meaning of "knowing how to (do something)". In this context "会" is used to express a skill ("说中文") that has been learned or studied. So the full translation would be: "Does your friend know how to speak Chinese?". With that the only possible answer is: "他的中文说得很好" (He speaks Chinese pretty well / His Chinese is well spoken (literal)).
