platonic state of mind

Eros and I were not meant for each other. I'm not yours, you are not mine. Philia is all I'm capable of feeling. For I'm in a platonic state of mind. But I love you. I really do.   Just in a different way. Sometimes your presence feels intense. And I can't help but push myself away. But I want to go places with you...   We could run along the shores of beaches, seashells in our hands,   Bask in the glow of the golden hour... Build sandcastles, covering all the land. Nothing would compare to that, Glorious sunsets and stolen glances, We could write stories about us. One of the greatest ( platonic ) romances. What more could anyone want? When the warmth of your smile is even greater than that of the sun. The illuminance you bring to this dimension... Oh, sometimes I feel you could be the one. I could live with you forever, you know.   Just without intimate touch. I know you'll feel different about this, But I hope I'm not asking for too much. Because there's so much else I have to offer,   So is there a chance you might stay?   I said this before. I'll say it again.   I do love you, just in a different way.

that brand new era

Wrote this for a friend who once made me feel brand new...Because there's always one person who turns your life around.

They say best friends are forever,

But they've been saying it wrong,

I used to believe in infinities...

Yet ours didn't last that long. 

You came in like sunlight,

Made the darkest nights feel like day.

And now I can't help but think,

"Is this how friendship fades away?"

You see, I never go beyond you,

I'm living amidst the clouds.

For it gets a bit lonely sometimes,

Especially when you're not around. 

I suppose this is the uncertainty,

Of giving someone your heart.

It takes a blink of an eye,

To be standing light years apart. 

Maybe one day we shall meet,

For there's so much yet to be seen.

I've been ever-ready,

And I know you'll be just as evergreen.

Now, I'll send my words to the stars,

Because I've always looked up to you.

Our forever was a fleeting moment,

But my world still feels brand new.

I said I lived with fragments of apathy, when you told me that you'd lost hope. but if you ever hit rock bottom, I'll be sure to throw in a rope.

I laugh and call you a liar.

Just because your words don't rhyme,

Doesn't mean they can't inspire.

I know they contain enchantments,

Something that you won't ever see.

Poems are basically your thoughts,

Dissolved in your cup of tea.

So, serve us some too!

Give it a slight stir.

Yet for each individual,

Your tea will have a different flavor.

And this is the epicness of poetry,

A hidden meaning behind every line.

What your definition of this verse is...

Will never be mine.

So be a soulful & starlit poet.

Illuminate every mind like a candle.

For there are poems inside of you,

That even paper can't handle.

The Doctors dog is cheerful. His wife, a loving mother, a known gift giver, a mender, however, is not.
