@myvloggun
First off, you are very evil... You share your Mac&Cheese with one of my henchpeople but not me!
So very evil :|
an interesting image that was going around quotev in the beginning of the summer (as a joke, of course.) It looks pretty old (none of the main userbase would ever make such an image unironically, which it does seem to be), yet is quotev-specific. I don't know anything for sure, but with the use of vegetables categorizing users, and carrots being the “lowest” ranked users, this image could very well be the origin of quotev users using “carrot” as a derogatory term to describe users that they consider childish or users not adhering to the main userbase's aesthetic standards for profiles.
Ahh this is my first anon ever. What are the craziest things you’ve seen on quotev?
hi, congratulations and welcome to the world of tumblr asks i guess
there is always some shit going down on quotev, but I think my favorite crazed fest was Paper, a cult that I joined in 2019. of course, it was probably an elaborate arg, but since paper never broke character, sense of reality was kind of muddled. basically paper was this account (url .SYCHOPHANTFLIES) that would post long, repeating tribute posts to the god he worshipped, Behemoth. And by repeating I mean he would copy paste the same two sentences (ex: Behemoth is all. The rats will burn) about a hundred times for one activity. If you scrolled down his posts long enough you could kind of make out a story: he discovered Behemoth; his mother and girlfriend would not be converted so he either abandoned or killed them, which he seemed to regret; he (?) shaved his eyelids off at the request of Behemoth (who communicated with him) and insisted that everyone else must do the same to join behemoth. Everyone that was not a believer in behemoth was a “rat” and paper, on the quotev account, was counting down days until Behemoth would purify the earth and burn the rats. A bunch of users, including myself, joined the cult for a joke, to see what would happen when the countdown ended. We weren’t very serious about it and even made up a stupid ship between paper and a cult member he seemed to like best. When the countdown ended and nothing happened paper panicked and eventually deactivated. I wish I could find the user that did the whole arg. It was rather magnificent.
another insane thing (which I did not witness and thank god for that) was the cock ratings, which happened a year or two ago in which a certain user asked people to send it dick pictures for a rating. One user reportedly got a bad score because of their “ginger pubes.” au revoir.
hey you don't have to answer this if you don't want to but could you explain about what happened in with the mass system ban of 2021 spring? I wasn't on during that time (2021 was my break year from q) and as a system I'd really like to know what happened out of both curiosity and fear. thank you for reading and running this account!
Hi! i'll try to explain as best I can. I was not there for the thing that started it all, and you generally have to filter through a lot of hearsay when it comes to quotev. In the most basic terms, what happened was that a user who is a system was unfortunately playing a game on the feed that involved self harm. They were reported and deleted, but due to fear and misinformation about persecutors in systems the quotev admins seemed to be under the impression that all people who were systems were in danger of doing the same thing. A number of accounts that had system information on them were disabled. This caused panic within quotev's userbase, and people started circulating a copy/paste message to send in to the admins to get the innocent users unbanned. Surprisingly, the messages worked: most of the users were unbanned and the panic died down. I only learned what was happening when the copy/paste message came across my feed. There are other complications to the situation, but since it's not clear to me whether or not those things are true, I will forego to mention them directly. As always, quotev moves on fast and not a lot of people remember or talk about the system ban today. I don’t think there’s any blog on here that archived it, but you can find a lot of discussion about it in the comments of articles on the fandom Quotev Wiki.
i need every piece of quotev lore u have to offer dating from 2009 to 2010 only
oh hell i don't know… in 2009-10 obviously the site was still called quizazz (or quizzaz… But that’s a whole another road to go down. The rabbit holes never end.)
I can’t tell much unique about the site specifically at that time, but the wayback machine pages show that the home page had a live update feed list of quizzes taken at that moment (ex: Someone has taken What Backstreet Boy Are You)
The site's design was still the classic black, and more similar to its older sister site Quizilla, though a little more impersonal and corporate-looking. I am unsure whether or not it was still a quiz feature on Facebook. There does not seem to be any dashboard to access your profile with, but a button on the top of the site labeled “Quizazz Profile.” One of the site features was Forums. This may be the earliest version of quotev groups, but I don’t know for sure.
Fuck it, I'mma do it!
*Gets down on one knee* @space-cowboy-stuff, will you (platonically) marry me and make me the happiest villain out there?
WHAT IS QUOTEV.
QUOTEV is a website for stories and quizzes founded in 2008, originally strongly integrated with the well-known and infamous Facebook.
The userbase is most known for things from the early 2010s, such as CREEEPYPASTA quizzes, and EMO LOVE STORIES. However, there is much that lies beneath the surface, for most sane individuals cannot bear the horrors that lie beneath the veneer of "cringe" plastered across the Website in DEFINITION ALONE!
This BLOG intends to assist in the DOCUMENTATION and RECORDING of the following:
Quotev Lore
Quotev Memes
Quotev Circles
Quotev Drama, only if it's funny because the website itself is for all the obscene shit.
Last but not least, QUOTEV TRIVIA.
(This BLOG was inspired by the truly valiant efforts of the @quotevarchive!)
