people have probably talked about this but another reason for loving arospec ryland grace is how they justify sending him to space because he's single, doesn't have kids, etc. and that's a common way people will diminish aromantic people. oh you're not romantically involved with anyone? you're missing out on a major aspect of life.

I like how it makes you the audience think you don't need ANYONE to be valuable. you still have a life and that's important. etc. ...and simultaneously the theoretical of ryland having a qpr on earth or something is an interesting concept

starting my own DVD collection is one of the most fun things I've done lately because I'll go into any thrift store or used book/DVD store and there's ALWAYS something that I'm like omg I can own this!! And then I will own it forever!???

(Im all for representation but Marina being black just lines up with so many unfortunate tropes it almost feels intentional. they could've made Penelope poc too or something 😭😭)
