Ses’fikile, the lookbook for Simon and Mary’s latest fez collection, is a visual celebration, inspired by the vibrant colors and elegant beadwork of South Africa’s North Ndebele people. “Somehow the shape of the Ndebele bracelets reminded me so much of the fez silhouette,” lookbook creative director Trevor Stuurman told Design Indaba. “It felt like a natural fit and new translation of the culture.”

One of the main reasons I created WAT is to disrupt the current travel narrative. Director Ava DuVernay put it perfectly during her latest interview with TIME for TIME Firsts: “If the person who gets to tell the story is always one kind of person, if the dominant images that we see throughout our lifetimes, our mothers’ lifetimes, our grandmothers’ lifetimes, have been dominated by one kind of person, and we take that? We internalize it. We drink it in, as true, as fact."
