Inktober Day 15: Legend✧˖°
❝Valeria's legend about magical twins was taken too seriously...❞
Here is some angst for Halloween! ;w;
Hello everyone, I'll be auditioning for the part of Fai of Valeria and I'll being singing "Free Falling" by John Mayer
Day 11: Favorite secondary character
r!Fai in Tsubasa; Yuui in Horitsuba (the debate if Yuui-sensei is meant to be r!Fai or the Fai we know in TRC, aka r!Yuui is a topic for another day)
Yuui is my hero, and actually my favorite Horitsuba character. I'm happy he's a part of the Horitsuba ensemble, someone who loves Fai very much. He's even beaming when Fai arrives to the New Year's party in Yuuko's kimono - unlike Kurogane who flips over Fai's silly antics, Yuui knows his brother very well and is cool with it.)
He's a very sweet character, who gets along with his students and his colleagues. Syaoron respects him a lot, Watanuki admires him as a chef, and everyone enjoys his class. My headcanon is he's happy for Fai and Kurogane; and as long as Kurogane actually doesn't hurt his twin brother, he's cool with the temperamental gym teacher.
As for his original role in Tsubasa, we know him through the memories of Fai. I feel like he would have originally chosen himself to die before being imprisoned in the valley, but knew his brother would be devastated, so he chose to be punished together. It's when he realizes that r!Yuui suffers so much again that he begs to die to free Yuui. (My latest headcanon is that r!Fai was also a dreamseer, but hid his powers from everyone including Yuui; and that even though he saw his brother would suffer so much, he believed in that light of hope and happiness, and died clinging to that hope that those destined people would help him out).
All in all, I have so much love for him, for someone who appears later in Horitsuba, and someone whose brief appearance in TRC ripped readers and fans' hearts.
