from snow to sun ;; leah + red

Hot was an understatement -- this region, Hoenn, as he recalled, was absolutely scorching. It was like he jumped into a bit of lava -- something that was unsurprisingly featured in this foreign land! He took off his vest and hat and began fanning himself. With his body like this, he doubted that he'd last another minute. Though...
"The sea makes it a little better," Red noted, staring at his Pikachu who played in the waters of what was called Route 109. It had been fifteen minutes since the two were escorted out of the boat; both the pokemon and the trainer spent more than ten minutes of those fifteen to adjust to the sudden temperature change -- one adjusted much quicker and better than the other.
It was when Pikachu had splashed water onto Red's pant leg that the young man finally decided to give up on deciphering this region's map. Why did he even try in the first place? By now, he should know he wasn’t very good at such things. He whipped out his pokegear and pecked at the keys.
{ msg -> Leah: Im here in Hoenn at route 109. Its too hot. } sent.
His fingers hovered over the send button, wondering whether or not he should send a :(.
In the end, he decided not to.
