Alastor is litterly a people pleaser who's mad about it like "why did I even do that I don't even like you?" Right after completing what ever he was asked to do.

Mimzy knows this and takes full advantage.

Collections of reasons Alastor seems to have something going on with his gender based on his visual appearance.

1 his hair being a Flapper Bob with a emo fringe.

This hair is way to long for a man in the 1920s especially considering how traditional Alastor likes to pretend to be.

2) his antlers more closely resemble when a die white tail deer grows antlers. They can grow to full size at times.

3) The Monocle being a symbol for lesbians and gender defiance for women in genrealin the 1920s. (Any women who broke cishet norms pretty much got thrown into the lesbian pool.)

4) Hiz suit makes his hour glass figure more extreme.

Which makes him look less masculine.

4) Him and Velvette uses the same eye shadow.

5) The perma smile. It is well known that being told to smile and socially police to smile mostly happens to women. Obviously there still.is a socal expertion on men fir this thatsvwhybits the bottom of the list but it still feels noteworthy.

Alastor's natrual power is shadows because he died because the hunter only saw him in shadow.

The staff let's him get big as a house. Something he's always wanted but was bared from.

Thats why he prefers and ended up relying on his staff.

Wait there’s old lore that Val OD’d?? Omg I’m so curious, do you know where that was said?

I don't rember where it was said though I do feel it's obvious with Val's powers beig tied to him smoking. This is the same as Vox haveing the TV head and Alastor being a deer. Drugs killed him and now he is tighed to them forever.

He litterly needs his drugs. Maybe that's why he tends to uses guns and force instead in his powers.

When I say I don't think Alastor has significant childhood trauma, what people hear is 'I don't think Alastor went through anything bad before his mom's death' but what I mean is: 'Often the difference between an event becoming traumatizing and not is being able to regulate right after the event. This is why if you experience something you think might be traumatizing you should play tetris becuse it tells the brain you're safe actually. We do know Alastor is very good at regulating himself after what should be a traumatizing event as an adult. This implies that he was taught how to do that as a child. That his mother did such a good job that he was able to mostly process extremely traumatizing events you know like her death and not fall apart. More than not fall apart he excelled. Compare this with Vox who I think we can agree had less bad things happen in his childhood but has alot of trouble calming himself to the point of self destruction.'

Yes obviously bad stuff happened to him I don't think I need to elaborate on why that is obviously true.

I do think the love and support of his community including Mimzy is a major part of why he didn't simply crash out after his mom died. Again, being comforted makes traumatizing things less traumatizing.

I want to talk about the importance of Angel being a spider and Valentino being a moth.

Obviously spiders famously eat moths. There forms represent there life. If they had been Alive at the same time there power dynamic would be flipped.

Angel is a spider becuse his family was a mob family in a web of crime. Needless to say the mob takes advantage of people they are predators.

Valentino is a moth likely becuse in life he was a sex worked. My evidence is this bit of the old lore where Vaggi was still a moth and a prostitute.

I think this applies to Val.

And I think they are both aware of the dramtic irony that in anouther life there rolls would be reversed (isn't that Au material). I kind of think Val uses this as a excuse to porject his isues from his own past onto Angel even though he had nothing to do with that.
