y’know, with the knowledge of jay-z allegedly hooking up with a 15-year-old Foxy Brown, started dating beyoncé when she was quite young (and ended up cheating on her), and he and r. felony having a joint album together...his verse in “heartbreaker” sounds incredibly sleazy 🥴
This R.kelly shit is honestly just the tip of the iceberg.
We need to talk as a community about the other pedophiles/r*pist we have let run freely without repercussions.
We have a disgusting culture that says we are trying to "protect" the black family while revictimizing and blaming the victims. Telling poor black girls that them being "fast" was the reason these things happened to them. Allowing these predators to get to enjoy life peacefully while the victims suffer in silence.
I speak about this with passion and pain in my heart because I'm tired. I'm tired of hearing this same story from girls. I have people I love who have unfortunately been hurt by this sick culture we let continue generationally.

Sony Music has decided to dissolve its working relationship with R. Kelly, Variety has learned. No external announcement of the move is plan
No external announcement of the move is planned in the immediate future, says a source, who added that the company took its time to wade through the issues “responsibly” and avoid legal ramifications. R. Kelly was removed from the RCA Records website, which lists the label’s signed artists, shortly after 10 a.m. PT on Friday, Jan. 18.
It’s unclear whether Kelly’s back catalog will remain with RCA/Sony. Kelly’s last release with the label was a Christmas-themed album in 2016, although he has released several songs independently since that time, presumably with Sony’s consent, and Tweeted earlier this year that he has a new album on the way.
Contacted by Variety, reps for both RCA Records and its parent company, Sony Music, declined comment.
If you can really defend R. Kelly when it is public record that he married Aaliyah when she was only fifteen when he was twenty seven Please unfollow me. Normal adults don't marry teenagers.
