Inspired by JRPGs of yore, this story is an homage to the video games that shaped my childhood, while also telling personal stories of what it was like to grow up as a "soft" Black boy. I tell this story of acceptance to heal.

R.O.A.R is a retrospective action/adventure comic about the lives of 8 retired super soldiers and the long shadow cast by the man who created them. We mainly experience R.O.A.R through the eyes of Ryszard Kowalski, Dr. Morel, Seweryn Bartosz, Trevor Young, and Monica a greenhorn reporter who has been tasked with unraveling the mystery surrounding Dr. Mittermeir and his fated eight. The main themes are (self) forgiveness, healing/living with trauma and LGBTQ+ identities.
