I remember when we learned about shapshifting then about Rose Quartz. The fandom was so hyped that a Gem can choose to be fat if she wanted.
But since the reveal of Pink Diamond....it just...it just gives me and probably a lot of people, a sour taste.
Like...if Rose/Pink wasn't a fascist bratty, spoiled colonizer... If Rose Quartz was just Rose...even if she was originally skinny...the fact that she chosed to be fat would sit better with a lot of people if she was just a regular soldier.
But it's ruined. Because I know that people who are fat do not want to be represented by Pink Brat.
At least we still have Greg and Amethyst. At least they are still good characters and people.
