I generally always use Sony Vegas for edits (except for when I have to edit for work) and often place multiple pictures below one another in paint for non-gif edits. I change the edits while editing a lot and ahh- quite often end up with a whole different thing than what I first imagined, but the process is often the same I think? :

I’m always fixated on colours (which can be quite ahh- ‘unhelpful’ at times haha) so having a bunch of textures ready is always a must :’) I wish I could explain in detail more how I use Sony Vegas and stuff but ahhh I have no idea how to go about that. Hopefully I answered your question somewhat okay? In any case- thank you once more for being so kind~!  ´ ▽ ` )ﾉ
