(wrote half of this still while watching the film so it’s kinda in present time kinda not)
First half was reasonably promising and I liked all the characters and it was reasonably entertaining with the conflict of the two families. But then David goes all fucking off the rails and creepy? I mean I got some creepy vibes before the whole newspaper fire thing but wtf.
Also what the hell he literally burnt down a house with people in it and he got probation in a hospital and gets released early?? HE BURNT DOWN A HOUSE. He’s so creepy and manipulative. God he’s worse than the kid in A.I. so mother obsessed.
Also the New York bit wtf. Jade’s Dad...
Keith’s the only one who had any sense in the movie.
David is an arsehole. Jade is an idiot.

2x06, Presenting Lorelai Gilmore (2001) Lorelai tells Christopher that he'd probably rather sit through this film than go to the Debutante Cotillion.
LORELAI: Now comes the reason for my phone call.
CHRISTOPHER: All your regular 976 numbers are busy.
LORELAI: Now I know this is totally not your thing, but as you will remember, part of the whole coming out process involves the girls being escorted around the dance floor by their Dads.
CHRISTOPHER: Ah.
LORELAI: Now, I know you would rather sit through "Endless Love" than ever be apart of this scene again. But this is very important to your daughter and she has never asked you for anything, and although no one's keeping track, it would seem that your constant non-presence in her life and your lack of ever showing up when you say you're going to or calling when you say you're going to or basically doing anything when you say you're going to would tend to indicate that you owe her, big time.
6x20, Super Cool Party People (2006) Miss Patty and Luke mention the title song.
LUKE: I hear you really belted it out.
LORELAI: Belted it out?
LUKE: "Endless love."
MISS PATTY: The song, honey. Ohh...yeah. [Laughing] Oh, yes. I really belted it out. Is there any other way to sing "endless love"? You know if you're not gonna really belt it out, you might as well stay in your seat.
MISS PATTY: She sang it beautifully.

MISS PATTY: Okay, I've already gotten to the whole town, and they're all telling the "endless love" story. He'll never know.
LORELAI: Oh, thanks. I owe you, patty.
MISS PATTY: Oh honey, please. I've given more drunken toasts than Colin Farrell. You owe me nothing.
I love movie musicals and I loved this one. I knew a couple of songs from it even though I hadn’t seen it before which isn’t surprising to me. You could definitely tell it was music and lyrics by Lerner and Loewe as it had a definite My Fair Lady feel to it. The cinematography near the end with Gaston’s silhouette was beautiful and the music was great. Gigi was dubbed by the same woman who did a bit of Anita in West Side Story (Betty Wand) too!
Great film, would watch again and would rec to movie musical, musical and film lovers alike.

5x01, Say Goodbye to Daisy Miller (2004) Emily says that her and Rory's trip to Europe will be just like the film.
EMILY: Well, then? What do you say? Would you like to be impulsive with me?
RORY: Sure, Grandma, I'd love to.
EMILY: That is just wonderful! I'll call Ralphie right away and tell him to bump another Baptist. We'll have a wonderful time, you and I. It'll be just like "Gigi." Lorelai, I'm gonna use your phone.
LORELAI: Be my guest, Mom. [Emily exits. Long pause] Europe? Cool.
