I love movie musicals and I loved this one. I knew a couple of songs from it even though I hadn’t seen it before which isn’t surprising to me. You could definitely tell it was music and lyrics by Lerner and Loewe as it had a definite My Fair Lady feel to it. The cinematography near the end with Gaston’s silhouette was beautiful and the music was great. Gigi was dubbed by the same woman who did a bit of Anita in West Side Story (Betty Wand) too!
Great film, would watch again and would rec to movie musical, musical and film lovers alike.

EMILY: Well, then? What do you say? Would you like to be impulsive with me?
RORY: Sure, Grandma, I'd love to.
EMILY: That is just wonderful! I'll call Ralphie right away and tell him to bump another Baptist. We'll have a wonderful time, you and I. It'll be just like "Gigi." Lorelai, I'm gonna use your phone.
LORELAI: Be my guest, Mom. [Emily exits. Long pause] Europe? Cool.
