4. What do you enjoy about making graphics / gifs?

I can’t really articulate it well, but it’s kind of nice to just clip moments together, and retrospectively it helps me remember a lot. Do you ever think that like there’s so much bangtan content, but if I mention “hey do you remember a scene of jungkook slapping hobi’s butt” and you can immediately see that fire comeback vlive when it happened. Moments like that, and countless others where I can just remember where it’s from because I’ve probably gif-ed it at some point

24.  What is something that you’re wanting to learn right now?

really want to learn after effects because there’s so much cool stuff I want to try making. That ego gfx I made is literally only like the tip of the iceberg. There’s this blog that isn’t active anymore but I love their work @jaebums and actually inspired me to start learning, but I have so much more to go

33.  Give us a quick explanation of how you make a graphic / gif?

heres a vid that I made 2 years ago (wow) but it’s pretty much the same but tl;dr

check time stamp > process through avisynth > import into ps > crop > topaz > colour > finish

2. Do you do something creative/related “irl” as well

I use to draw a lot, but stopped a couple of years ago. I guess making gifs/graphics and the occasional video edit and animation is my creative outlet right now

8.  Your favourite graphic and or gif created by yourself

hmm not entirely by myself (since @kimseokjin helped me a lot) but my bts in [year] series I started in 2018, I’m super proud of them and just seeing a recap of it all is nice (2018/2019). Honourable mention to my run bts series in general (just checked and I’ve been consistently giff-ing it since ep 20 wow) and this recent gifset I made which is so hq even I was surprised when I exported it

11.  What graphics / gif trends do you like most?

seen a recent influx of more aesthetic gif sets which have been focusing on colours and utilising negative space and I love it. Not to mention the blend of that with gfx too. Especially since I myself don’t really do it too often

14.  Colour(s) you like

Just in general: black, navy and maroon. Otherwise I love colouring for red and blue scenes because I understand better how to manipulate those colours versus trying to colour anything with a magenta or green tinge

27.  Advice you’d give yourself when you were starting out?

Stop boosting the contrast and brightness so much. Back when I started giff-ing I use to always over contrast my gifs and it’ll wash it out way too much. But at the same time it use to be a 2mb gif limit and it was so hard trying to colour for that.

38.  Advice for any beginner graphic / gif makers?

Play around with all the adjustment layers. Sometimes I’ll see psds made with 190830219830 layers trying to manipulate something which could have been done in way less steps using a different adjustment layer. Had someone ask me how to emulate a certain psd and I did it all within 2 layers instead of trying to force it through selective colour only.

Thoughts on quarantine cooking trend? I mean like dalgona coffee, souffle omelet, sourdough bread, banana bread etc, you tried 'em?

I think it’s nice, I’ve definitely been seeing more cooking content across the board which is nice because I follow a lot of cooking channels on yt and it’s something I just kind of enjoy watching. As for making I’ve also done the dalgona coffee, but I think  my sister and I want to make souffle pancakes soon but I need to go out and buy cake flour. 

Slight tangent but me and my friend were discussing dalgona coffee and I’m sure you’ve seen people trying it with other things like matcha etc but keep calling it dalgona matcha and its kinda low key frustrating because dalgona doesn’t mean whipped or anything. Dalgona is like a toffee candy thing (if you’ve seen the recent run ep where they’re mixing the sugar over the tiny saucepan it’s that, or the other ep when tae had to hit that brick of toffee as softly as he can it’s also that). The coffee get’s it name because of the colour of the whipped coffee looks like dalgona
