2. Do you do something creative/related “irl” as well
I use to draw a lot, but stopped a couple of years ago. I guess making gifs/graphics and the occasional video edit and animation is my creative outlet right now
8. Your favourite graphic and or gif created by yourself
hmm not entirely by myself (since @kimseokjin helped me a lot) but my bts in [year] series I started in 2018, I’m super proud of them and just seeing a recap of it all is nice (2018/2019). Honourable mention to my run bts series in general (just checked and I’ve been consistently giff-ing it since ep 20 wow) and this recent gifset I made which is so hq even I was surprised when I exported it
11. What graphics / gif trends do you like most?
seen a recent influx of more aesthetic gif sets which have been focusing on colours and utilising negative space and I love it. Not to mention the blend of that with gfx too. Especially since I myself don’t really do it too often
Just in general: black, navy and maroon. Otherwise I love colouring for red and blue scenes because I understand better how to manipulate those colours versus trying to colour anything with a magenta or green tinge
27. Advice you’d give yourself when you were starting out?
Stop boosting the contrast and brightness so much. Back when I started giff-ing I use to always over contrast my gifs and it’ll wash it out way too much. But at the same time it use to be a 2mb gif limit and it was so hard trying to colour for that.
38. Advice for any beginner graphic / gif makers?
Play around with all the adjustment layers. Sometimes I’ll see psds made with 190830219830 layers trying to manipulate something which could have been done in way less steps using a different adjustment layer. Had someone ask me how to emulate a certain psd and I did it all within 2 layers instead of trying to force it through selective colour only.
