i'm glad that people are making a joke out of the "irreversible side effects of hrt" just being the desired outcome of taking hrt, because it's scaremongering nonsense that doesn't deserve to be taken seriously, but for folks who aren't sure what they want and might actually be scared of making a permanent decision: it's not irreversible. if the effects of testosterone on a body couldn't be changed in any way there would be no reason for people to go on estrogen and vice versa. if you stop taking hrt your endogenous hormones just go back to doing whatever they were doing before and you see results that are roughly akin to transitioning the other way. it's not a big deal. nothing in life is truly "reversible" because you can't go back in time but nothing is set in stone, either. it's okay. i love you. you can do whatever you want forever.
