I HAVE to have a snippet of "Bitching", please and thank you
From WIP Game
Yes, Bitching is my sorta in progress doc for Lure a/b/o-verse bitching, namely alpha!Kaiba bitching alpha!Jounouchi into his personal omega through a series of hormone shots and good-old-fashioned come marking/breeding. I forgot I already posted a decently-sized snippet for it previously. So if that sounds interesting to you, you can check it out here (warning for themes of non-con). Sadly, I haven't found the time/energy to work on it more, but it continues to live rent-free in my head at least.
Who’s really the villain here? This man deserved SO much better
Hello One Nice Big Per Day!!! Thank you for your amazing work for the betterment of human and bugkind. My absolute favorite buggies are moths! Especially the fuzzy ones. What are some of the fuzziest moths you know?? Thank you for your time!!
Hello! Happy to be of service. I also love fuzzy precious moths. The one that comes to mind immediately is the poodle moth, posted here. Also this post is full of fuzzy fellas.
that's not allowed you're not allowed to be cute and ALSO a fantastically creative and intriguing artist
okay, i realize i sound like a goddamn ancient lameass millenial, but uh... what the FUCK is a vibe check lmfao /good natured and also curious/
ok so the original meaning of “vibe check” was supposed to be just. like. a check in on someones vibes. like yknow good vibes, bad vibes, etc. it eventually got expanded to yelling “vibe check” before doing something super suddenly cause in Internet Joke Kinda Instances its usually smth along the lines of decking someone out of the goddamn blue
when its something like that Usually its because either YOUR vibes are fucking chaotic and you just Gotta Punch OR someone ELSES vibes are what scholars would call “rancid” and they have “failed” the “vibe check”

Hey! I honest-to-god didn't know podfic was a thing until I saw that post you reblogged in support of podficcers. I've always loved reading aloud stories, and have wanted to do so for fanfic for a long time. I was always just too shy to ask permission; I thought the idea would sound weird to people. Thank you for letting me know there's a whole community out there for it! Do you have any tips for getting into the scene? Do you have any fics you wish had audio?
Podfic is so a thing! There are MANY communities for it - there’s https://pod-together.dreamwidth.org/ podtogether at dreamwith for instance, which as a challenge might be a good point of entry! - and you might also just check out the whole podfic entry at Fanlore for an orientation. I don’t make podfic myself but like they say, some of my best friends etc., so people like @revolutionaryjo and @quietnighty and lunate8 and Flo and @podcath--well, check out the amazing 30 person cast of the Written By The Victors podfic, which might still hold the record for podfic collaboration (@limvids was the mastermind there: see https://fanlore.org/wiki/Written_by_the_Victors_(Stargate_Atlantis_podfic)
But also, there’s tons of podfic on the AO3 - you can search for it - and also on the Audiofic Archive (http://audiofic.jinjurly.com) though they’ve had a couple of bad crashes is my understanding and so are in a state of repair. I have myself been blessed beyond the telling with podfic but am always happy for more: I have (normally, sigh) a long commute so I love podfic both of my own stuff but also of anything I can get my greedy little ears on. Oh--and if you’re committed to this hellsite, podfic is a tag and there are podfic communities here too, with RECS: see, say, @stuckypodficarchive or @podfic-love or @pod-together or....
I haven’t published a fic since high school. I have a plot for one that I’ve outlined and am excited about... but will anyone read it? Should I even do it if I care so much about that? I used to love writing, and now as an adult, I have much more real world experiences to draw from. I have things I really want to say, but I'm battling pretty significant anxiety. (cont.)
If it’s a fanfic, like I really want to do, I won’t be able to share it with my family to celebrate the accomplishment. Not even my friends; none of them are into this fandom. But I have so much more motivation to get started on this work than any of my original fiction ideas. Do you have any advice?
this is kind of the eternal question. to me, art is both the exploration and communication of ideas that otherwise cannot be spoken. to that end, art begs to be witnessed and interpreted. but that reception isn’t always guaranteed. and sometimes, it’s good enough to enter into an artistic negotiation simply as a means of discovery.
which is a fancy way of saying, sometimes you have to write stuff without the promise of being read simply to satisfy your own drives and curiosity.
i won’t say “write for yourself!” because i think that adage is far easier said than done, but i do think the heart of it is necessary to maintain the integrity of your work. when you write with the consideration of audience, you shape it to that audience’s desires. in many cases this can’t be helped, and it’s also not necessarily bad. all writing is rhetorical, and therefore there’s no way to avoid the dichotomy of message/audience that all writing falls into. however, you can certain constrain that audience to yourself, a hypothetical other, the one person you know will read it, or a fanfic audience at large.
that’s what your question seems to come down to -- your choice of audience. and it sounds like, for now, your choice of audience should be yourself. what is the story you would want to read? what is the story that hasn’t been told that needs to be told, and that only you can tell?
my advice is to write your story, but treat it as though you’re exploring an unknown, and that way, even if no one reads it, it exists to answer a question that had been before been unanswerable.
