So four neanderthals who happen to be black, have allegedly kidnapped a white disabled boy and tortured him. I've seen the footage. And it's hard to watch. Regardless of race no one deserves that treatment and I hope the victim makes a full recovery. Each of the four responsible for hurting that boy need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. The more worrying aspect is just how many white people seem almost happy this has happened. Comment sections full of the same myopic rhetoric "oh, I thought only white people could be racist". "If their races had been reversed this would be a hate crime". A hate crime, is a hate crime. The fact these four nit wits have said "fuck Donald Trump" and "fuck white people" on film makes it a hate crime. So charge them accordingly. The same way the majority of white people dislike being held accountable when one of their own shoots up a church or murders a Muslim or POC, why are black people and BLM being held responsible as a collective. They certainly don't have my support, only my condemnation and derision. Yet around the world instead of vilifying the four based on their actions, people are using it as a bludgeon to attack black people, as if the actions of the four justify past and future actions of racial injustice. Regardless of race, orientation, political affiliation. Everyone is accountable. As such everyone should be accountable to the same degree. But im sure the four won't be treated to a burger king and led to their cells without incident. Let us not lose sight of what has happened. But instead use it as a way of remembering that race relations and tolerance needs to be promoted from all sides.
