tbh i headcannon humanstuck karkat as having albinism

honestly, thats one of my least favorite headcanons, ever. it’s way too easy, it’s like a straight up cop-out of what karkat experiences in his life on alternia

like. theres no institutionalized discrimination against albino people in america? in some other countries yeah your life is literally at risk if youre albino but not here or in europe, where most humanstucks are set

besides, blood caste and casteism is directly analogous to race and racial discrimination. ignoring that is pretty much an act of racism in itself because ppl are denying that completely integral part of his character (and the character of other low/highbloods) for the sake of having a white boy headcanon

so in my time thinkin about it, i headcanon that his mom (disciple) is black dominican, his dad is mexican (signless), so he’s mixed black latino and his parents are undocumented immigrants who brought him over when he was a baby. them living in the south near the border (probably in arizona where the discrimination against latinx people is terrible) is the most accurate depiction of his lifestyle that i can think of, having to be discreet about himself and his heritage and citizen status (blood color) or else risk being deported (culled) 

(if he’s albino and poc thats a different thing too but seriously albino karkat has been 100000% sullied for me. i hate it so  so much im sorry but i will never like albinokat)
