a mandala w/ sun/ sky goddesses on the 4 corners: pele (ka wahine 'ai honua)- hawaiian goddess of fire, lightning, dance, volcanoes, and violence; amaterasu- the japanese shinto goddess of the sun and universe, hekoolas- the sun goddess of the miwok native americans; hathor- the egyptian sun goddess. each goddess also has animals or items surrounding them which relate to them in some way according to legend. in the center is the representation of the life of a lotus which denotes creation, beauty coming from unexpected places, birth etc. the eyes represent- vision, knowledge, wisdom and the opening of the third eye.
