The TV movie Star Trek Section 31 premiered on January 24, 2025. It was the first Star Trek movie to be released since Star Trek Beyond in 2016. Section 31, the mysterious covert arm of the Federation, was introduced in the Star Trek Deep Space Nine episode "Inquisition" and was created by Steven Behr. Besides other episodes of DSN, it appeared in Enterprise, Discovery, Lower Decks, Picard, and Star Trek Into Darkness (as well as several books). The TV movie starred Michelle Yeoh as Emperor Philippa Georgiou, who joined Section 31. ("Star Trek: Section 31" TV Movie Event)
