Checkered b&w kimono kabric by Gofukuya, really briging “racing flag” to mind!
Gofukuya refers to this fabric as kurume kasuri. Karume refers to a famous cotton kasuri from Fukuoka prefecture. Kasuri is an ikat dying and weaving technique used for centuries in Japan which often results in “blurred” patterns.
