One of the few times I don't mind having the movie/TV adaption cover versus the original artwork. Because #LovecraftCountry on HBO was amazing. Jonathan Majors and Journee Smollett deserve #alltheawards for their roles. . I purposely waited to start the book until after I finished the 1st season on HBO. While the show does differ slightly than the book the show keeps a lot of the feel and important aspects of the novel. The novel has an episodic feel that lent itself to television well. Ruff does a good job of mixing the supernatural with the horror of Jim Crow and racism.
