So, I joke about Giuseppe being ADAB (Assigned Dad At Birth), but truthfully he really does have a strong drive to make sure those important to him are taken care of.
Due to his ADHD, his awareness of other people is either on or off, with almost no in-between. If you have the good fortune to be a friend or currently in a romantic relationship with him, you will be occupying some part of his thought process 95% of the time; he's That Guy who will let you crash on his couch (after he clears all the books off of it), spot you some credits and insist that you never pay him back, or literally let you cry on his shoulder. He's the sort of person who will make you think that maybe there's some hope for humanity after all.
As far as the DILF aspect goes...
Giuseppe is a literature and language nerd, and professional beach bum. And the first few times you meet him you would absolutely get the strong impression that this man has only the vaguest ideas about sex, aside from 'it makes babies'.
And that is where you'd be so, so wrong.
More info under the cut; innuendo is as far as I go in this post, nothing will be detailed or hardcore nsfw.
Giuseppe is the sort of person for whom sex and intimacy isn't a taboo topic. Now, he will 100% respect whoever he is dating/has dated, as well as any personal comfort levels of those around him; he isn't an asshole about it (though he does slip up occasionally). He's very comfortable in his body but he's not really preoccupied with looking sexy; it just happens that corset vests look snazzy and also help him handle anxiety, and a speedo when swimming is just what everyone on Emerald Cove wears, pretty much (as far as I know, speedo-type swimsuits for men is the norm in most places, Americans are just weird about it)
And as stated above, he gets a lot of satisfaction from taking care of people, and that extends to the sexual aspect of a given relationship. He often goes out of his way to make sure his partner's needs are met (be it a casual fling, a more serious relationship, or an Asexual partner) and learned to do his homework early on, so to speak. So while the first handful of times might be sort of fumbly and awkward, he's going to make a point to learn his partner and he will ABSOLUTELY be a tease if they're together long enough. He's got a bit of a thing for fooling around and getting wound up while out and about where nothing can be done, then going ham behind closed doors.
13: Do you prefer reading/writing multi-chapter fics or single-part fics?
Both, honestly. The length of the fic isn't one of the deciding factors so much as the content for me.
16: Do you stick to canon when you write characters and fics?
If there's any solid canon to go off of. For example, Lasky is largely a blank slate between the end of FUD and when he's assigned to Infinity in Initiation, so there isn't really anything I can do except make shit up.
It also depends on if canon matches reality in at least a super basic way. My favorite example of this is the snooty-shooties on Infinity. Her specs list them as spine-mounted MAC cannons. But when you see them fired at the Mantle's Approach, they are clearly lasers. Two beams with a visible amplitude that makes laser noise. I'm sorry but that isn't even remotely what a traditional slug-thrower would look like in the vacuum of space, so that bit of canon goes in the trash. Now, the MAC cannons on the orbital platforms in Halo 2? Yeah...they have a reload mechanism reminiscent of a traditional gun, and a muzzle flash. Neither of which any railgun tech currently has/would have in space. But, it's clearly a weapon that launches a projectile, so at the VERY least the basic concept of 'throw shit at the enemy really goddamn hard' is there. I can forgive that.
And lastly, it depends on your definition of 'canon'. Personally, if it's appeared in any official media at any point? I consider that canon, retconned or not. I feel like that gives me wiggle room in some areas, but I also wish that Halo lore had a comprehensive timeline of events, and better dates for important events as well.
So in short, it depends heavily. But generally I try to fit my ideas into any gaps canon has.
17: What has been your proudest moment so far since you've started writing?
That's...something of a tricky question. Pride is a weird thing for me, and there's a lot of pretty bad shit to unpack regarding the reasons why.
Honestly, nothing comes to mind straight away, but after pausing to think about it, probably the fact that I almost completed the Infinity Week challenge. I lost out by ONE submission that I just couldn't get done by the deadline, and that's as close as I've ever come to actually finishing something when it was supposed to be finished in my life.
vanilla chai— do you have any hobbies that your followers don’t know about? or any hobbies that you once had, but stopped doing?
I think I can actually answer both parts of this ask, lmfao.
I don't think many of you know that I'm something of a tabletop veteran: from DnD 3.0 and 3.5 in 2003-2005, to Pathfinder, Star Wars D20, BeSm/TriStat homebrew, Wererolf: The Apocalypse (sooooo many werewolves....), Battletech and Mechwarrior (both the classic 1986 tabletop and the new version), I think I rolled one char for Vampire: The Masquerade, too.
However, I haven't played any tabletop at all since 2010. My shitbag ex and his friends made up my gaming group, and whenever Shit Went Down(tm) ofc they all sided with him. I still have all of my W:tA books, though!
