Hi Anon! I know absolutely nothing about the RAD syllabus, but after reading through the comments, it seems that the majority mostly support her take. I think there's a big misunderstanding that the RAD syllabus is the same as the Royal Ballet School's, but it's not. Joy Womack is a dancer-influencer now, and definitely opened up the debate, which is a good one. But not having any experience in RAD makes it impossible for me to have an opinion, and I'm not really up for throwing shade her way. However, I would argue that Cecchetti technique is actually very difficult and challenging, and prepares dancers for demanding choreography. It demands exceptional coordination and musicality. I've been LOVING all of the videos posted by Diana Byer on IG @ teachingcecchetti. The "long lost steps" series is so delightful to watch!
