RAD Trio fanficlet

He sat in the common area, brooding. 

He paused, looked thoughtful for a moment, then nodded before settling back in.

Not brooding, simmering.

What, was he sauce? He frowned again, thinking.

Steaming? Boiling? Stewing?

He had forgotten to eat lunch.

“What are you doing sitting here looking so pissy?” The voice was breathy, as if she had run here. 

David didn’t look up, still thinking.

“I’m not pissy.” He said absently. Andrea’s bag fell to the floor while Andrea fell fully across his lap. David grunted but didn’t try to dislodge her. 

In high school, he had gotten used to the weird piling and overall lack of boundaries among the theatre kids. He had not expected any different in college and here he was. 

Andrea turned onto her back, put her hands under her head, and looked up at David.

“You look pissy.” She countered.

“Geoff is the stage manager.” David said. Andrea made a duck face at him.

“And?” She replied and David sighed loudly.

“You don’t get it because he likes you.” He retorted.

“Who likes Andrea?” The voice came only moments before David felt a weight on his head. Ray, crossing his arms atop David’s head and resting his chin there, smile down at Andrea. 

“Raby baby!” Andrea said and held her arms up. 

“Geoff is SM.” David muttered as Andrea’s hands clapped individually in front of his face. 

“Oh man, that guy hates you.” Ray said. Andrea’s hands fell to her chest.

“I wonder what color his binder will be this time.” She mused. Feeling his shoulders slump, David stoically put his hands under Andrea and rolled her off of him. Giggling, she threw her arms above her head as she fell.

“My turn!” Ray heaved himself over the back of the couch and threw himself back on David’s lap, making him wince. Ray then put one hand on David’s cheek. “Awww, you are so handsome when you glower.” 

“Look.” Andrea said as she knelt in on the floor in front of them, putting her elbows in Ray’s stomach. “If he gets bad, I’ll rip his arms off.” She smiled, showing far too much teeth, and Ray nodded.

“She’ll do it. ‘Exit, pursued by bear’ style.” He remarked. David snorted and Andrea, pleased, rested her head on Ray.

“Okay, okay. But get off me, I have to pee and I’m hungry.”

Do you have voice-claims for the RAD trio?

@rcbertsmirke​Yup!In my head, Andy sounds like Jessica DiCicco, and Ray sounds like Patrick Stump (singing voice too!).David’s complicated, though. Jamie Parker was an inspiration for his version of Hamlet, but I also considered Max Mittelman and Robin Lord Taylor as his voice-claims. Currently, Taylor comes pretty close to how I imagine him sounding.(I’m actually a bit curious about what other people think they sound like 👀)
