@radiantgunman:
Its not unusual for the former guardsman to have issues with battling heartless when he passes through the main levels of the castle. The Disciplinary committee hasn’t managed to get their heartless sensor system installed up here yet, so it was hard to know when they were about.
Today, he finds that a lot of armored knights and red rhapsodies in the area. On their own, they’re not usually that big of a deal - its when the invisible’s join in that things become a tad complicated. Close range becomes an issue, and he’s forced to use the key that he’s got no talent with.
Deflection is one thing - successful strikes is another. And when he tries to nail one of the heartless, and accidentally throws his weapon in a failed Air Raid Strike, he pays swiftly for his mistake, as a sword slashers across his side, and causes him to yelp, before he spins away, keyblade disappearing as he takes off to another section of town entirely. Once in a safe location, he’s able to peel his uniform top off, gasping with pain all the while, in order to get a good look at the damage the heartless had done to him with its weapon.
Theres a long, wide gash, that begins at the side of his left pectoral, and ends just above his hip, that wraps around his body in a painful manner. Its bleeding, and theres the odd wisp of smoke that makes him wonder if there was a risk of poison as he forces himself to open a vial of potion, and down it as quickly as he can manage, before he sags against a wall to rest.
He doesn’t expect Tris to stumble across him - but when she does, he tries (and fails), to show her a composed expression, and instead is forced to ask for her aid as he gestures to the still bleeding gash on the side of his torso.
If she’s not able to do it - he asks her to get his twin instead - he might be able to help - and that might be necessary in the end anyways, since he cant stay lying here, and he’s not sure if she can safely transport him back.
Tris is exploring, as she’s wont to do. This world is new to her, despite the familiarity of it... and has plainly been under some kind of attack. There’s more modern Heartless, of course; they’re even worse a plague than they were in her own timeline.
A flash of red catches her eye, and she turns her head to see-- Braig, Scarf-Braig, the one her Braig cares so much about.
And he’s hurt.
She’s still terrible with healing spells, but she’s made a point of stocking up on the healing items that weren’t available when she was younger.
“Here,” she tells him, kneeling next to him and offering him one of the phials. “It’s an X-Potion; I made sure to stock up on them...”
