✍: What is your muse’s handwriting like? Is it neat? Sloppy? Fancy? 

really, really sloppy. judai really doesn’t try to make his handwriting fancy at all – he just writes everything pretty quickly so sometimes it’s kinda hard to tell what he means when he shows you something he wrote. 

fortunately, he doesn’t really show his handwriting to anyone (even in the academia, he… usually skipped classes) – so if you have the misfortune of seeing it, i’m so sorry.

⌚ : Is your muse good with keeping on schedule for meetings, appointments, or events, or are they always late? Or, are they always a bit early?

oh god he’s not. when judai has something important to do that’s not related to dueling, he usually is late for it pretty much always. he’s just a mess, and i’m pretty sure he would be late for everything if it wasn’t for yubel. so just, not good.

☘ : Does your muse believe in luck? How about fate?

judai really believes in luck – he outright said that 1% of winning every duel is based on luck and faith; and he believes that to this day, wholeheartedly and openly.

although fate is a different story – he believes that people make their own destiny, instead of what “fate” tells you. he also strongly believes in that, and trying to convince him is something that would be impossible to do.

☆ : Of the sun, stars, and the moon, which is your muse’s favorite?

stars, definitely! judai really appreciates space a lot (considering his deck’s main theme right now, pretty obviously) – and he loves stargazing whenever he has the opportunity.

Does your muse prefer lots of friends, or just a few close ones?

he prefers a few close ones as it’s not nearly as overwhelming and it’s also simply what he’s used to due to his withdrawn personality. additionally, he doesn’t like the thought of being caught in the affairs of too many people, as selfish as that sounds. he also knows such a thing would inevitably destroy him as having a few close friends has caused him enough strife as it is. . . not that it isn’t all worth it in the end. 

regardless, he does have many, many acquaintances, both in and out of rift. he wouldn’t be opposed to growing closer to these people., though--it just isn’t his preference.

summer, definitely! but he also likes mid-late spring a lot too! dirk’s someone that likes warmer weather a lot - he really suffers when it’s cold out, so he doesn’t like winter at all.

dirk loooooooooooooooooooooves the rain. he likes watching it rain and he likes the smell of it and even the smell after it rains, and it’s also the easiest noise for him to fall asleep to!

♦ - quirks/hobbies headcanon

guren almost always writes before he chooses to sleep (emphasis on “chooses” as dozing off and the like does not count). in fact, he can’t really properly sleep without doing so, as he gets fidgety and feels as though there’s something in his day left undone. the contents of what he writes can range from thoughts he wants no one to know to creative writing, depending on his mood. by doing this, he calms both him and his demons just a bit.

★ - sad headcanon

sad, in a literal sense… well, guren isn’t one to show his heart on his sleeve in any sense, and that applies to anything that brings him down as well. he’s learned that his sadness brings too much of a burden unto others and so he usually covers this up by being entirely passive. however, guren is not always the best liar and, in addition, is usually easily read. he tends to be much more quiet, reclusive or hesitant than normal, so those most familiar with him can usually determine that he’s upset with ease. 

if you’re miraculously able to get him more open… he vents quite thoroughly and self-loathes through most of it, no matter what the problem is, usually because he feels as though he’s being weak and petty. 

as for sad in a general sense? guren sometimes avoids sleeping because he never knows when he might wake up with rift gone. 

☆ - happy headcanon

happy! guren actually wears his happiness a lot more openly than he does his sadness. he grins, teases… even busts absolute fucking ass the most ridiculous of things. his tone usually changes quite a bit as well, becoming more relaxed and gentle as opposed to terse and irritated. unfortunately, he can sometimes be a bit reluctant to express how happy he really is, and will draw back a little if someone points it out. he knows the image of him is pretty much “constantly angry guy” and it upsets him a little when anyone acts surprised that he is, in fact, capable of enjoying life. there are actually many things that keep him positive, and he embraces the little things.

as far as a generally happy headcanon goes… sweets, junk food and new foods he’s never heard of genuinely excite him! he used to be on a very strict diet (and at times still is), so he’s always a bit thrilled when he can try something new.

guren fucking LOVES dragon quest, or whatever the name of his in-universe ripoff for rift has to be. he has the first nine games and game guides too. don’t challenge this man with dragon quest! he knows his shit. (but i do not, so please, genuinely, do not challenge me.)

★ - sad headcanon

dirk’s a private person and it’s actually really unlikely that anyone (guren and roxy aside, honestly) can say they’ve seen him any sort of upset. angry or annoyed? maybe. he doesn’t emote well and a lot of his reactions to things are muted or lowkey, very downplayed, mainly to keep up his try-hard cool-guy facade.

he isolates when he’s sad, though. if he’s with or near someone, he’ll find a way to be alone. it’s not even that being alone helps with anything, it arguably makes him feel hundreds of times worse, but that tends to be what he thinks he deserves.

☆ - happy headcanon

it’s a little easier to tell when dirk’s happy than it is to tell when he’s sad, at least! he doesn’t smile very much generally, especially in front of others, and the only people that have seen it or seen him absolutely lose his mind are guren, roxy, and probably dave. it’s actually pretty damn easy to make him laugh or to entertain him. he thinks a lot of shit is funny, surprisingly, despite that too-cool persona he has going on.

his sense of humor can be kind of ass, sometimes, though. dreary and a little morbid, but that’s just the kind of person he is.

☼ - appearance headcanon

ohhhhhh my god have you seen the freckles on this boy, just wondering? dirk strider is absolutely COVERED in freckles. they’re all over his nose, his cheeks, there are some on his ears? they give him a break around his forehead and mouth/jaw area, and then they start back up around his shoulders again. the backs of his shoulders and his back in general is just ALL freckles.

you could play connect the dots with them, seriously. make all the constellations on his skin or something, he’s beautiful? they’re on his thighs, too, man. it’s really good.

dirk can play A LOT of instruments:

guitar; both acoustic and electric.

violin; not well, but he’s relearning.. or, well, reteaching himself.

piano and keyboard.

turntables.

he can also use launchpads, midifighters, launchkeys and all kinds of electronic music-making things like that!
