Sixth post for @creatingblackcharacters Melanin Beam Challenge, and it is everybody's favorite offbeat genius, Radical Edward from Cowboy Bebop! (two versions, with the original upside-down perspective, and then rotated to be seen rightside-up)
Ed may not be the first quirky and clever character, but definitely became a definitive one (and for some, a blue-print for humor haha). Ed is also interesting by being very silly, secure and self-reliant but NOT isolated or without the need for comfort/companionship. This is Ed, with a deeper copper skin tone, a broad nose, clear upper and lower lip shape, and hair that has a thick and curly texture (I wanted this style to be like an afro, but with lengths separate in little sections)
