i cannot remember who originally talked about it, but i do have a few things to add to the conversation.

The topic was the push for women to move to witchcraft and similar practices and religions and sort of leave science and such. And i do agree theres a bit of a push for that. and i am biased in talking about this because i do practice witchcraft and paganism. But i didn't agree with the saying the women who leave patriarchal religions to join witchcraft/paganism are stupid. I fundamentally disagree with that and i think it's awful to say that.

To me, witchcraft and paganism are to go back to our roots as humans to be closer to nature, the universe, and ourselves. And i think thats very much needed in this world, to be introspective, closer to the earth, closer to ourselves and our individual power; whatever that may be. Witchcraft is also more woman focused in my opinion. Also, i understand it may be different to others.

But, with that, i also agree that the push of women to join witchcraft and leave science is going on. To that i would like to say; don't leave science for witchcraft. The two should be intermingled. Don't just throw science and material reality away. Working with plants means you absolutely NEED to know about those plants. You NEED to know the science of your practice, otherwise you could seriously injure yourself or others with mixing plants or chemicals. You can only become better at your practice if you are informed and smart about what you do.
