Soroku ☕️

Okay, so!  Soroku.  How do I feel about it?

Well, I feel like people don’t genuinely realize how much I actually love Sora and Roxas, individually and together.  Like, I have issues picking favorites, but with Sora and Roxas, I can tell you straight that I absolutely love the both of them so fucking much that they are Best Boys (even if Roxas is currently the tagholder of that title).  

Individually, Sora’s devotion to his friends makes me so fucking happy, and Roxas’s burning determination to do right by his own is motivational.   Together, Sora and Roxas as a ship and otherwise are a power couple that is just underappreciated.    To this day, their few interactions still give me butterflies.  “It really has to be you.” “You deserve as much as I do to be your own person.”  The fact that Roxas and Sora had no idea about each other in the beginning but came to recognize each other as equals was so WELL written!

And then…KH3.   After spending the first half of the game looking for Roxas and seeing Ven constantly speaking through Sora, I was kinda hoping for a bit more for them.  I was hoping that after their battle together, their would be a moment for Sora and Roxas to interact.  A conversation where the two could finally be friends!   I was hoping we’d get to see Roxas reacting inside Sora to possible dangers.   Calling a second keyblade into Sora’s hands and putting forth all that badass energy he carries.  

But, alas.   So, I’m gonna write some fanfics for Soroku that do them some justice.  Because if all the Kairis can feel each other, I don’t see why Roxas and Sora wouldn’t be able to, too.
