should i get a fire emblem game? and if yes, which one?

YES!!! i’d recommend starting with awakening like i did bc it includes a casual difficulty setting making it a lot more accessible for new players who don’t know all the ins and outs of the combat system yet (in all the previous games if a character dies in battle they die permanently for the rest of the game unless you restart the level but this setting is optional in awakening and all the newer games) and also from my experience with fates so far it’s just objectively both a better game and a better starting point for the series

but yeah i’m really enjoying fire emblem so far, the plot is nothing groundbreaking but the gameplay is actually surprisingly fun once you get the hang of it and more importantly there are a ton of really charming and fun characters that have a ton of interactions and you can marry them to each other and customize your army and even marry your own avatar to one and it’s just a good time imo

i know there used to be a demo for awakening on the nintendo eshop, idk if it’s still there or if there’s one for fates?? you should check it out!!
