I can't get over venting through Adam so...yeah here's another post!
For one do y'all ever get that feeling where nothing bad is necessarily happening to you in your life but the things you want to happen aren't? What about having that numbness where it seems like nothing actually matters no matter what you do? That's me. That's also Adam. Considering how long he's been around sometimes bro could literally be having a breakdown and he'll push it aside later. Like bro if the definition of 'feeling silly' like one bad thing could happen on the wrong day and Adam will be spiraling for months on end.
He's been alive for so long too that he can hide those emotions. Yeah they tear him up inside and out and by every atom of his being but sometimes he really is left just not being able to care. Like the numbness he can go through is actually insane.
Imagine he's going through one of his moods: for one it'd be clear, like Adam knows how to show people when he doesn't care about what they're saying but sometimes he'll be listening to others, may crack a smile or something before moving away and separating from the group just to think.
It's like he can't fully enjoy being in the moment or with others. Like after everything sometimes Adam needs to be called out to or tapped on order to focus.
He puts on a good face when in front of others, especially applemedia because somehow they always seem to be like sharks to blood when Adam is in these moods but of course not to attack but to come running to him.
Lol imagine applemedia taking turns trying to talk to Adam. Especially if Adam hasn't joined the relationship. For familiarity sake Lucifer would talk to Adam first but Vox is probably better in these things considering his relationship with Adam hasn't had any necessarily 'bad' moments tied to it. Like Vox is the guinea pig that radioapple sends in first to test the waters.
After all with the vast history adamsapple has Adam CAN tell Lucifer whatever the issue is but Adam can immediately switch up as well, becoming hesitant to share such thoughts with Lucifer and idk why but Adam probably would tell Alastor little hints and such but Adam makes them into jokes. Jokes that makes it hard for Alastor to really understand them at first even if he may chuckle at a few. Honestly Alastor would learn quickly that Adam has a bit of dark humor in him...
Alastor and Vox would definitely freeze up if Adam said anything crazy as a joke but Lucifer is so scarily serious about it that he looks at Adam and doesn't crack a smile at all. For the most part such a reaction can be ignored by Adam but not when Lucifer speaks up, asking him what's wrong.. or why he'd say something like that?
I can see questions like that pushing Adam to his breaking point. Like y'all know when you need to cry but don't want to do you don't until someone seems to say just the right thing that hits right? Yeah...it's giving that.
