The theme of this year's #RadioRace is "You Should Know."
That got one of our team members thinking about a line from Game of Thrones, as reinterpreted in the image above.

Our team, which we very inventively call "Team RadioDC" includes:
Ellen Rolfes
Bobak Shafei
Marc Sollinger
We have 24 hours to record, write, edit, and post a non-fiction radio story.
Here is more information on KCRW's website:

This year's theme is: "YOU SHOULD KNOW"
As of 2:05 p.m. ET, we were still brainstorming about ideas and figuring out form. But stay tuned!

Radio DC meets Rebel Kingdom Records: The Rebel Clan
November 2013
Beanie and Stacia interview a talented group of young artists known as The Rebel Clan of Rebel Kingdom Records. During our interview we met Blaze the Rebel, P.Hahz and Josh Keys. This group of young innovative artists shared insight on their progress as a music movement and their passion for hip hop. The Rebel Clan shares a uniqueness in style and preference when it comes to hip hop, of course everyone appreciates main stream music but they strive off classics. P.Hahz sings and strokes the “keys” aka the piano, Josh Keys is also a piano master and singer but his claim to fame within the group is producing, Blaze the Rebel is the lyrical genius out of the bunch. His verses are flawless and freestyles are definitely something to admire.
Radio DC would definitely recommend everyone go out and support Rebel Kingdom if you can THIS weekend Feb. 8th in Newark, New Jersey at Center Stage Cuts 402 Broad Street for the @culturelegends #supportnjartists show.
The Rebel Clan is such an easy group to vibe out to! Two weeks ago they released a new single “We Got It” which can be found on YouTube http://youtu.be/6vTvuYs4mXY . Also Hash Tag #TheRebelClan on Instagram, Vine, Twitter and Facebook. Show support! We can’t wait to get another interview with them this upcoming semester to catch up and hear all their new music on our station!
