IMAGINE them rebuilding a friendship when Alastor inevitably hits rock bottom after being humbled post-villain arc and he and Vox both have now tried to do The Big Bad Thing and failed. Both in a bar. It starts as bickering teasing but then mutual lamenting about their failures. Then they become friends again
THEN ONE DAY they are fighting SIDE BY SIDE in perfect tandem against some other big bad, knowing each other as well as they do they work SO WELL together as a team, exchanging quips, using their technology powers together to create really powerful attacks, AURGHHH PLEASE
