With the rise of Silksong (TWO WEEKS TWO FREAKING WEEKS WHAT THE HECK I CANT DEAL WITH THIS) my delusion that the Grimm Troupe will return is stronger than ever
Obviously idk what the full deal with Pharloom is, but it seems similar to the Infection, sooo does that make it count as a dead or dying kingdom...? Cause if so... Hornet you and I are finding that nightmare lantern asap
And it wouldn't just be reusing an old storyline we've already seen, because this would be a different Grimm, and therefore a different Troupe. Still similar to the last, I'm sure, but unique. Maybe the new Grimm looks different, has a different personality, a different fighting style and therefore a brand new boss battle. There could be new Troupe members, a different method of collecting nightmare flames more exciting than the last. Maybe the new Grimmchild could even be more helpful than its predecessor. And, of course, Hornet is a very different character from the Knight: heavily distrusting, and able to express that distrust through dialogue. There's a lot of potential there, I think.
Of course, I am incredibly biased because Grimm is my favorite boss in HK and therefore I'm a big fan of everything Troupe-related since it means I get to fight him (and also I'm one of the rare Grimmchild enjoyers out there. They're just a little guy. Just don't take them to Fog Canyon and you'll be fine). Do I actually think this will happen? Idk, probably not. Why bring back Grimm when there's a whole different world with its own lore, characters, and story to explore? There could even be another, never-before-seen cult for us to discover. There's definitely SOME Hollow Knight lore involved in the game, e.x. Herrah, Void, Hornet's backstory in Hallownest, but that's actually relevant to the main character, while Grimm decidedly is not. So not bringing him back is probably the better choice. But I can still be delusional
so just found out my dog died today. most likely of natural causes--she was pretty old. i’ve more of less accepted it because she was showing signs (but still so cheerful...), but expect a little radio silence from me because upsetting news when i’ve been in a dour mood the last 4-5 days doesn’t mix well.
the woman on the left with the brown hair is mostly likely laur/a, but the way she’s touching hector makes me think that a.) they’re love interests or b.) she’s just manipulating him with comfort/kindness so he remains “loyal” to camill/a. and for the love of everything sweet and beautiful, i hope it is the latter, because it’s so IC for her as camill/a’s servant.
