Why did I do the Thing?
It's so interesting to me the things that do and don't hold up. Interview with the Vampire was dated as hell but was still pretty fun to watch. The Court Jester with Danny K is SUPER dated, but still very fun to watch. The live action TMNT movie is wildly dated, but still fucking amazing. What is it that makes some movies continue to work, and others failing the test of time.
Made my cat a treat puzzler out of an old butter carton. He is not a smart bean, but at least he’s having fun.
Things I have legitimately thought about paying for on tumblr in the past:
A NSFW account. I would pay to see the tiddies (and more importantly, pay to support NSFW artists and sex workers and keep them around. I want an uncensored internet damnit. I'm an adult and I'm willing to pay for an adult space)
An unlimited asks option: tumblr gave me that for free so cool I guess, but back when you could only send 10 per hr I thought over and over again how badly I would pay like a $5/mo subscription free to not have to put up with that crap
USEABLE. SEARCH. TERMS. omfg. I've never thought about HOW I'd monetize it but every time I try to search for something I KNOW is on my fucking blog I find myself praying to all gods including the almighty dollar (this is more like I'd pay to make tumblr a functioning website rather than a subscription. Like, if tumblr had a bake sale to raise money to hire an actual coder or whatever this hellsite needs to get right with itself)
Links/Pages that work on mobile: There is like, NO way to organize your blog for mobile, at least not that I've found. This thought is more like "I would pay someone to set this up for me" ie, actually paying for a custom theme, but ONLY if it worked on both desktop AND mobile. I post a lot of crap, and I'd love a way to showcase my original stuff while still being able to be a hot mess on main
All I want is a simple little habit app that gives me digital plants to put in a nice little terrarium for drinking water. Maybe a nice amethyst cluster for doing cardio. Perhaps a little ladybug friend that comes to visit when I log in every day for a week. Just a peaceful little app that is a tranquil representation of me trying so damned hard. Is that so much to ask?
I just tried to name 12 pokemon off the top of my head without diving into Eeveeloutions or anything and I made it to 21 and honestly I'm really proud of myself :P
My wife is using me like a random prompt generator. So far she’s asked me for a girl’s name, boy or girl, best friend boy or girl, name for said best friend, and a gen requirement class. I can only assume I’m either helping her write a story, or this is the weirdest kind of test
