2025 pride seems to be the year of the brick

My partner had the idea to make a trans brick sticker earlier this year, and it's like he knew the theme early.

Normally, I wouldn't share photos of myself, but I was sewing a bit, so here you go. Old duvet cover transformed into a frilly shirt, haha.

For those who are interested - for the shirt I was pretty much following the instructions here and here. It's very nicely described and because it's basically only made out of rectangles the pattern is very simple to make and in general it's not difficult to sew at all. I had to make it quite a bit smaller though and the sleeves are still rather too long for me, which may look stylish on photos but it's a bit too much. :'^)

Reverse centaur that has the correct proportion of each body from the original centaur. Human up to the shoulders, on their hands and knees, then on top of that a horse body starting from the abdomen.

This but the bodies are correctly sized so the centaur is standing on its horse front legs and its human back legs with a pair of arms dangling in the middle because the horse half would be way too heavy to hold up any other way

This isn't about me. This is about reverse vampires, creatures who are weakened by darkness, are attracted by the scent of garlic, and use their long hypodermic fangs to inject blood into humans to survive. (They can't just expel it it has to go into a human. There's a magic curse element there. And if they don't inject enough blood into humans then they produce too much blood and eventually explode.)

I see, my bad. May I interest you in reverse sirens then? They live on land, have a terrible sense of orientation and get lost constantly, and can’t sing to save their life.

If you ever happen upon one, be careful, because they will try to follow you home, get lost horribly and make it everyone elses problem by singing loudly about it

My grandma just called and, among other things, said “You have hips. That’s good! Men like hips!” and then she interrupted herself to say “Women like hips. People of your preferred gender like hips. I can never remember” And I was like “Thanks grandma! My preferred gender is none of them, no thanks.” and she was like “Okay, no one will comment on your hips!” very self satisfied, like “aha, I have figured it out” I think like half her grandkids are some variety of not-straight and she can’t always remember which is which but she is the epitome of like “she’s a little confused, but she’s got the spirit!”

just saw a 'comments' tab on someones blog you know where the following and likes tabs would be if enabled and it was just showing all the replies theyve made on peoples posts. this is fascinating when did this feature come out

EMERGENCY - ITS AUTO ENABLED!

if you've made replies on posts there is now a tab on your blog showing every post youve replied to and your reply.

if this is not what you want, either go to your blog and click comments and disable it from there or just go to your individual blogs setting pages. just change it from blue to grey if you dont want everyone to see your replies AND the post you're replying to

PLEASE BE ADVISED that it is set to disabled for blogs that have not made any replies but it will turn ON if you reply with that blog in the future.! i just tested it with my main, which was greyed out but it turned on the moment i left a test reply

figured i'd get the word out bc i have not seen a single mention of this and i'm sure there are plenty of people who maybe comment on things they don't want on display for everyone to see on their blog lol. you can still look at your replies with it toggled off just no one else can, like locking the following and likes list

so for some reason this feature was actually announced on the tumblr engineering blog. interesting choice not to reblog it to the staff or tumblr blog, esp considering they asked for user input on how to implement it, but i suppose considering the response to the last update maybe the replies would be too overwhelming...

so couple of clarifications. comments are disabled as default for primary blogs that have their likes disabled. they are seemingly enabled for all other blogs that have replied to posts

posts you comment on may show on your followers 'for you' page if you leave your replies publically available. they may, in the future, show in on your followers dashboard if your follower goes to their dash settings and enables this. apparently, if your likes are enabled, your followers can already see those on the dash if they've gone into preferences and selected to do so, which I was unaware of, and that seems to be disabled at default, but it's possible i disabled it previously and forgot about it ig
