thank you so much! i've seen feathers on an altar for him before- would that be suitable? they may be slightly more Poseidon related given that they're seagull feathers, but if i could offer them I will!

actually, some help with stealth offerings would be great!!

Right! So, there are lots of offerings that you can make without it being super obvious. This is list if mainly for Hermes but I’m sure you can adapt it for others if needed.

Water

Pennies

Tiny toy turtles

Pens

Learning a Language

So, to make these offerings, you can just put some water in a bowl or cup (or other offering choice) and put it on a desk or shelf. When I do offerings, I’ll say to myself or under my breath something like “For you (epithet here) Hermes, please accept my offering.”

Basically do the same for all the rest. You can remove the items as needed but nothing is overtly ‘pagan’ so it shouldn’t draw any interest from anyone. This does run the risk of people moving or touching your offerings so be aware of that.

I’m really fond of intangible offerings like learning a language for Hermes or even just writing something, but you’ll figure out what works best for you as you go. I hope this helped!

ah yeah. due to my family being super christian I haven't really gotten the chance to make offerings yet, much less ask. the potenrial signs in question were a decidedly Hermes feeling in a car after starting to learn a new language, a surge in pennies everywhere(I've seen them associated?) and some issues with communication itself, which isn't much. i may just have to find a chance to ask!

I know from personal experience that I often get Hermes feelings when traveling and lots of folks associate pennies with Hermes. So know you aren’t alone there.

thank you! okay I was kind of looking for some help? i have reason to believe I've been seeing signs having to do with him but im not sure if I'm just paranoid about signs haha.

Signs are a hard things to deal with because like you said you never know if something is a real sign or a coincidence. The best thing you can do is ask the deity in question, say ‘hey, is this is a sign?’ 

You can ask via prayer, divination or what every you method you prefer to employ. 

The best thing you can do is look at the signs, ask your deity and then decide for yourself.
