Race Queen Team raffinee Lady Announces Disbandment After a Decade

The official X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram raffinee Lady accounts have announced the disbandment of the team yesterday, 9 October 2025. Their final activities as a team will be at the Super Taikyu Series round 6 at Okayama on the weekend of 25 and 26 October 2025 and round 7 at Fuji on the weekend of 15 and 16 November 2025.

Formed in 2016 by mail order health food company Oriental Bio to promote their flagship product raffinee-α (raffinee Alpha), from 2016 to 2021 they were the race queen team for Kondo Racing in the Super Formula series. Then from 2022 onwards, they became the race queen team for Team Zeroone in the Super Taikyu series. In addition some raffinee Lady members also supported the Drago Corse racing team for the 2022 Super GT series.

A number of models, well known to the public and fan favourites, have made up the team over the last decade including Ichika Nishimura, Yurie Seno, Nana Yasuda, Midori Imai, Sakura Hayashi, Ran Matsuda, Ayumi Hara, Sakura Hayashi, Mary Fujii, Miyabi Kondo, Arisa Nagasaka, Hirose Anyu, Tsujikado Anera, Nanako Aizawa, Noko Ichinose, Yuka Ichinose, Yuriya Sakai and Kako Ogawa.

Membership of the group grew from three in 2016 to ten in 2023, which coincided with their increasing popularity with motorsport fans. Many consider the 2023 team to be the best race queen team of that era. raffinee Lady and raffinee μs won the Nitan Clinic Race Ambassador Awards Costume Division twice, first in 2022 and again in 2024.

In 2021, a musical spin off of the team called raffinee μs was formed. Originally comprising of violinist RiO and flutist Suai Takahashi, they played original compositions on stage the during rounds at the Super Taikyu series. Under the name of Hanbunko, the duo would also release an album called "asymmetry" in September 2021. When Suai Takahashi left raffinee μs at the end of the 2023 season, raffinee Lady member Hirose Anyu, who was previously an idol in the group Tokyo Performance Doll, joined raffinee μs to perform vocals with RiO on violin.
