(cont.) and the troubles were some kind of idk maybe drug? that people there experimented with or played with or something like for what ever they are it's not permanent and it's easily controllable and they probably had rules about not traveling to the other world and rules about not using the troubles on humans cuz it reacts with their dna weird and makes the trouble unstable and permanent. this is a big run-on sentence and i'm just spit-balling idk
I’m thinking you maybe have not seen season four yet but have read some about it because in season four, it’s revealed that Mara/Audrey and William are not from this world. But they are not the only ones, neither are Dave and Jennifer. They all come from a different world and they are the only four that can open the door to the other world. (That we know of, anyways.)
Yes, Mara and William broke all the rules, which sends up some red flags right away that there’s something different about them. Because Mara originally created the Troubles, but both her and William created most of the Troubles together. So when they say they’ve broken all the rules, I’m fairly certain it was implying what they had done. I don’t really know, honestly. Because Dave and Jennifer are from the other world too, but are not immune to the Troubles. Dave doesn’t have any powers (or none that have come to light), but Jennifer can open the door and see things others can’t. But then there’s Mara/Audrey and William who have all kinds of powers and their ethereal connection that binds them together on essentially a biological level. They’re all from the other world, but are all vastly different from each other. And so while I do believe Mara/Audrey and William not to be human, I’m not sure about Dave and Jennifer.
The Troubles are deliberate and of supernatural origin. As stated in the season, the way Mara and William create them is by thinking about what type of Trouble they want first. That idea for a Trouble will become a reality if they truly want it to. It’s their sheer will and want to create Troubles that makes them come into existence. Like when Audrey tries to create a silence Trouble in the two-part finale, but wound up making the situation worse. I’m certain it was because as Audrey, she didn’t have the true want to create a silence Trouble. It was because she didn’t want to. She was forced into it. But because she felt her original self, Mara in the midst of giving the person a Trouble; it became something that Mara wanted. Not Audrey. Because Audrey was truly struggling against the strong pull of her original self the entire two-part finale. But when she gives Duke back his Trouble, she does it ..right. Kind of. I mean yes, she did activate every Trouble his family ever took away too, which I’m not entirely sure was an accident since she began to recover her real memories when she did re-Trouble him. (And progressively through the last episode, phrases, actions and things triggered more of her memories to come back.) But in any case though, what’s important here is that she gave his back. She really wanted to end this Trouble, and she knew she could trust Duke to keep his word. So it worked.
Those are my thoughts on Mara and William and the Troubles and what you said.

YESS!!! like he's talkin to an ex or a few exes or w/e, i think people think he's shitty to female fans but like I think parker is parker and he doesn't want to be another alex gaskarth with fans, like he doesn't want everyone in his business ya feel i don't think he's purposefully mean to female fans, i think they're the ones that act the craziest tho ya ok this is a rant at this point
