Gom Jabbar DC (France 1988-91)

Born from a collaborative relationship between Cameroonian raggamuffin toaster Puppa Leslie and French punk outfit Ausweis. Puppa Leslie was part of the first generation of ragga artists in France starting in the mid-80s. Ausweis stood somewhere between punk and the fast-rising coldwave scene in France at the time; inspired by bands like Dead Kennedys, Killing Joke and The Ruts. Together their sound is high-energy, vibrant and experimental, with Leslie's gritty voice and smooth flow knitting it all together into something with a two-tone flavour yet still uniquely theirs.
