Why'd you change Deadfoot to Hollyhock? Couldn't you have just gone with Hop, like in canon? Also I think you forgot to mark Raggedstar as male in your family tree /nm

I could have gone with Hop, you're right- common hops are a plant that the Wind Sect would probably know, plus rabbits and hares hop, etc. But giving Deadfoot the name Hop reads less as him being named after the plant or action, and more like being named after his twisted foot and the fact that he would "hop" a bit while learning to walk. That felt cruel, and out of line with how the Sects would name their children, so I went with Hollyhock instead.

I did not, in fact, forget to mark Ragweed as male! She's actually transfem in this rewrite, so her name is pink on the family tree. I think I posted this somewhere before, but the Shadow Sect is a matriarchal community. They prefer cats who are female or adjacent in their positions of leadership.
