If you fly out of a major city you can get pretty decent flights prices. Just went recently and stayed through airbnb and if you’re not picky you can get cheap places. I would recommend dishing out the money for the jr pass if you want to do any traveling. It lets you travel on any jr rails including bullet trains. But if you just wanted to go to Tokyo and not outside the city maybe pass on it. Food was decent prices. I spent
Close to 2500cnd without spending money but probably could of halved that. I went with people and we could only go at certain times so that was costly and wanted a decent place to stay and that was costly as well.
ahh ty for the advice!!! even from the nearest big city to me (which happens to be the heckin capital) i can’t find any flights less than $1000 which sucks.....but i can live pretty cheaply in terms of food and housing if need be, i just want to make sure to have money to spend on stuff like tokyo one piece tower/the mugiwara store/any other places i’m interested in.....i think i’d mainly wanna stay in tokyo, tho i feel like it’d be a waste to not check out other places since i do think traditional japanese architecture/nature is hella pretty....hrmm
do you know what times are less costly to go, then?? bc idk anything about that c’: if i could get the cost down to ~2000 usd it’d definitely be doable tbh.

Man. I just had this dream and it was like of heaven. But it was like, really weird. There was like, tall buildings and at the top it showed like a projection of characters who like died, like Maude from the Simpsons, angemon from Digimon etc. And colors were almost hellish, with oranges and reds. And things just like lived in this city. And what really stood out was like the candle men. Just like, huge candles made up of smaller candles. Maybe they gave the orange glow. But I think the people that lived there could go around and like judge others and get them kicked out of 'heaven' because there was like this dragon there and there was a group of people judging this dragon and I think they were trying to get him kicked out. I got woken up at this point. But I wanted to remember this weird dream.
