Lily doesn't think they'll manage, but James is sure they're more than capable. Jily fluff. Rated T.
I don't remember who prompted this among my little group of fandom friends... I think it was @midnightelite so I'm saying it's for her. =D

"This is a terrible idea."
"Come on, Evans, surely you have more faith in me than that."
Lily rolled her eyes as they sat in the heads' office. They were meant to be working on a project for Charms together. But all her boyfriend had managed was to thoroughly distract the both of them.
His hands were in her hair as he kissed her neck, pulling and dragging his lips against her skin.
"We're never going to get this done." She combed her fingers through his hair before pulling his lips back up to hers.
"Such little faith," he tsked, lips still caressing her skin. "We'll get it done; consider this like the warm-ups I run the team through before a match."
"If you're snogging the whole team without me I'll be very put out with you, Potter."
"Hot for one of the Gryffindor Quidditch players, eh Evans?" His chuckle moved through her whole body and Lily barely bit back her moan.
"I'm rather taken with Hestia Jones, actually."
James' surprise betrayed him as he froze for a moment. Then he laughed.
"Hot, Evans, but I'd much rather you fantasize about me." His fingers ghosted the buttons down the front of her shirt.
"You're certainly moving the right direction for that," Lily pulled his lips back to hers, "But this is not the right direction for us finishing the essay."
"A bet then, Evans," James kissed down her neck.
"If you go along with me in this," his breath brought goosebumps along her skin as he looked up, holding her eyes with his.
"We will," he smirked at her intake of breath and she gave a sharp tug on the hair between her fingers as she glared at him.
"Have the project finished," he pressed his lips lightly against her chest and murmured, "tonight."
Lily arched into him as he kissed her, the project obviously far, far from his mind.
"And if it's not done tonight?"
She felt James' smirk stretch across her skin.
"I'll let Hestia know you're interested."
Lily smacked him upside the head this time as he laughed.
"Merlin, I hate you so much," Lily pushed his face away from her chest but James just moved to kiss her lips instead.
"If it's not done tonight I won't do anything else tomorrow until we're finished. I promise."
Lily tried very hard to be angry with him, but she had been enjoying herself before he'd gone and been a prat.
"This better be good or I'll go to Hestia myself."
James growled before returning his lips to her skin.
And while the essay was finished that day, Hestia Jones was forever confused why the Head Students were always smiling at her like she was in on some secret with them.
How terrible is it that I feel like totally rejecting the poster/flier thingy for our Christmas concert because the final version has a misspelling of "cocoa" on it? I mean, that's bad, right? I shouldn't be letting my OCD do this to me right?
But, seriously, I saw it and said, "Nope. Wrong." And then I closed the PDF without sharing the image like I planned to.
I'm terrible, aren't I?
(To explain that last tag, raillery was the word that stood between me and potentially being an alternate for the State Spelling Bee in 8th grade. We'd gotten through all of the words and they were choosing random ones from the dictionary at that point. I will forever know the spelling of that word from now on.)
