It isn't long before the rain-soaked-man knows exactly what you mean. Where he once knelt at your feet he now lies, curled on his side whimpering. His thighs are crossed, his cock twitching and dripping against the slight curve of his belly. His bladder is full, fuller than it ever has been, his brow furrowed from the growing need for relief.

OKAY SO- my thoughts on why Techno left Dream to fend for himself are as follows. I think Techno is upset with Dream for letting Ranboo die. -☔️

Techno is absolutely upset with Dream.

I don't think he was upset at first because that'd imply that he'd expected Dream to want to help Ranboo. But he was definitely already annoyed. He told Dream 'Ranboo is locked up too, we're getting him out'. He put his foot down in that regard from the very start, even as Dream complained they could come back for him later.

But Dream wouldn't shut up about it. And you can kinda hear it in the way Techno's responses to his complaining get a little snappier each time before he just starts ignoring Dream.

Once they get out though... Oh man. I haven't really seen others mention it yet, but can we take a moment to acknowledge that scenario was basically Techno's worst nightmare? We know that being surrounded by enemies, feeling cornered and with his supposed allies betraying him/not helping him are all triggers for him. The hostage situation also isn't entirely new to Techno. It's the red festival, it's the butcher army, it's the destroyed community house, all over again. Techno defends himself, but his fighting here is actually pretty sloppy. He's more concerned trying to keep an eye on where Ranboo is, where Niki and Phil are, who is a threat and who isn't.

There is genuine panic in his voice in this part of the stream. It shook me.

Sam takes Ranboo hostage and orders Dream to come back or he'll kill Ranboo. Dream does not consider that for a moment which - again I don't think Techno expected him to. He says as much to Sam ("Dream doesn't care, I care.") at which point Sam switches gears and tells Techno to order Dream back then. Which Dream obviously isn't doing either.

BUT DREAM IS LITERALLY STILL YELLING AT TECHNO TO JUST ABANDON RANBOO THIS ENTIRE TIME. TO LET HIM DIE.

Techno is very short with Dream after that, straight up ignores him a few times and then says what happens next isn't his problem. He shuts down Dream's attempt at conversation to demand his armor back. He says it's because he had to grind for it, he needs it. We know this is a lie.

I don't know if Techno would have offered Dream a place to stay if things had turned out differently, but I do believe he would have said yes if Dream were to ask him. Dream doesn't, his departure is awkward and cut a little short. He knows Techno is upset with him.

(Which is later evidenced by him giving the Axe of Peace back to Techno almost unprompted. I think Dream is already trying to ease himself into Techno's good graces again.)
